Introducing our newest addition to the My Buddy family....Miss Lacey!
She is a young at heart 8 year old chi mix that came into the shelter as an owner surrender requesting euthanasia. She already had one eye removed and her other eye needed serious medical attention but the owners did not have the funds to treat her. The vet staff at San Jose animal shelter decided not to euthanize her (Thank God!) and wanted to give her a second chance at having a happy life so they went ahead and removed the remaining eye, as well as pulled 7 teeth and spayed her.
She has since been rescued and is in an amazing foster home!! She has been to the vet for a check up and has some swelling in her gums due to the dental surgery but they suspect she has an oranasal fistula or more underlying dental issues. Once she is off the antibiotics, we will be taking her back to find out for sure what is going on with her medically. There has been a fundraiser started to ensure this sweet girl has the best care possible, so if you are able to donate even $5, it would be a tremendous help!!
Lacey deserves a chance to find her forever home. She is the sweetest lapdog you will ever find. She gets along great with other dogs and gets around just fine!! All she ever wants is to cuddle, be held and will sniff you until she finds your lap! She is calm but adventurous, very friendly and loving.
Please share Lacey's post...we are hoping someone wonderful sees her and falls in love like the rest of us did. She still has a lot of life left in her and in no way did she deserve to be put down. We are happy to help her on the road to her happy ending.
