Spartacus's Story...
Spartacus is definitely coming out of his timid little shell and wants to be part of the family. He will get scared with too much crazy activity and prefer to watch from under something for now. He has crawled up onto my lap for some snuggle time when it's quiet, but sometimes he prefers to just be around. He doesn't seem overly afraid of my kids (ages 5&7) and really loves playing and interacting with our two kitties. He follows them around and acts like he wants to be just like them. They wrestle and chase each other all over. He's definitely a fun and energetic little kitten. He hasn't reached the crazy kitten phase just yet though. He is VERY food motivated and will run from bowl to bowl gobbling up the nightly treat of wet food...much to Gus and Finnegan's chagrin. Overall, he's just a sweet little guy and will reward you with lots of purring when he's happy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spartacus, a Fort Leavenworth Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fort Leavenworth, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Fort Leavenworth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Leavenworth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Leavenworth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Leavenworth paves the way for another one to be saved.
