My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shelby was rescued from a shelter, when she was brought in as a stray. She is about 5 years old, and a very tiny girl, weighing only 5 lbs. We have found that she has luxating patellas (knee caps), which arent a problem for her, except for the fact that she seems a bit wobbly when she walks and stands. She seems to not like the foster persons other cats, so might be happier being the only cat in the home. She is also a bit scared of hyper dogs, and since she has the knee cap issue, may not be able to run away quickly if a dog or cat or small child should chase her. I think she should not go to a home with small kids, or hyper dogs either.
She is very sweet, but absolutely does not like to be brushed or have her nails cut. If you see her, you can see that someone cut her fur quite bad. She looks like she was put in a blender. Her fur is so choppy and awfully cut, but she is still adorable. She has beautiful huge eyes, and a teeny tiny nose.
She needs to put on some weight, but that should happen fairly quickly. She is a good eater.
Persians require quite a bit of grooming to maintain their coat, so keep in mind that she will need to be brushed daily, and also, may require going to a groomer periodically.
She can manage to jump on the bed, and likes to sleep on you or next to you, and I wasnt sure if she could walk up or down stairs, but she manages to do that as well.
