My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Miss Daisy!

Hello there, dear! I’m Miss Daisy, a three-year-old brindle beauty. I’m a petite lady at just under 40 pounds and I’m spayed, up-to-date on shots, and heartworm free. The famous Drew Barrymore once said, “Daisies are like sunshine to the ground.” If you’re looking for a little sunshine in your life, I’m your girl!

The first three years of my life haven’t been the greatest, but I know the best is yet to come! I started out in a home with a canine “brother” much bigger than me, and he was not nice to me at all. I almost lost my eye in one of his attacks! My owner used to leave me in my crate for many hours when she was “bothered” by me. Humph! Then I went to another home who took good care of me and got me lots of training, but my baby human siblings were a little too much for me. You see, because of my rough past, I have some anxiety. Little kids seem to make me nervous. I am a very loving and gentle girl, but it is hard for me to relax when there are small, unpredictable kids around. My old family thought it would be best for me to find a home where I can get lots of attention and feel more calm. Thankfully, CEBR took me in and I am ready to find my final forever home!

In order to “blossom” into my best self, I do take daily medication to help me with my anxiety. I also have a history of food allergies, like many of my bulldog cousins, so a high quality grain-free diet will help me stay healthy. Other than my regular beauty treatments (keeping my ears, folds, tail, and toes clean), I am a pretty low-maintenance gal! I am a very smart girl who loves to please the people around me; I know many commands and am very good about going potty outside. I am getting better at walking on a leash, and practice will make perfect!

I hope to find a forever home where I can settle down my roots and truly bloom! My perfect home would be a calm home without children. I do well once I know my routine, so my forever family should have a regular, consistent schedule. I love to snuggle on the couch and live a laidback lifestyle! Despite my past, I am willing to give canine siblings another chance. My foster home has furry friends for me to hang out with, and if you take it slow with me, I think I will do fine with a doggy companion in the home.

I’m a flower girl just waiting to be picked!

Love,
Daisy
