Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We'd like you all to meet Tessa. She's our "Ditch mom". She and her 9 puppies were too much trouble for someone, so they tossed her into a ditch like garbage. Sadly, 5 of her puppies did not survive.
We were not sure she would ever allow anyone to pet her. She was very scared when she arrived. She was covered in mats, thin..dirty. .oh..and someone was kind enough to perhaps kick her. She has a bone spur from what we assume was a broken rib healing incorrectly.
Did we mention she's 10 months old? Yes. TEN. Not years. MONTHS. She did not interact with other dogs. She paced. She could not keep still. That was several weeks ago.
Today, she is a happy, healthy girl. She is eating well and you can hardly feel the bone spur. She LOVES attention from whoever will give it. She especially adores children.
Tessa will be spayed soon and ready to begin her new life. She is learning to play and willing to interact and play with the rest of the pack in her foster home.
She has come a long way from that ditch in Tennessee. Please consider adopting her and making sure she's never thrown away like garbage again.
We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, and transport up to the Northeast.***
