My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DUKE CAN'T CATCH A BREAK.............
HE HAS HAD MULTIPLE HOMES AND MULTIPLE STINTS AT VARIOUS SHELTERS AND BOARDING FACILITIES.
NONE BY ANY FAULT OF HIS OWN. NON-BARKER, NON-FIGHTER, NO AGGRESSION. CALM, SWEET, HOUSEBROKE, AND CRATE TRAINED.
ALL HUMAN ERROR. EACH AND EVERY TIME.
Dukes story..........
I first learned of duke through a FB friend. And she told me part of his story. She then referred me to another woman were more pieces of the puzzle were put together. What I'm writing is what I know of Duke's story. I haven't a clue of how many homes and or shelters he's been in prior to the information I have.
Duke was originally found and brought to the SLA shelter. From the SLA shelter he was networked and a home was found for Duke with a young man and a very kind woman pulled Duke for him after she visited and networked him daily for SIX weeks.
He then went to this home where the grandfather said no way to the young man. The adopter then "gave Duke to his buddy" who's mother fell in love with Duke, but then became homeless ??
She then took Duke to her friend's house where he got out and was then picked up this time by Carson Animal Control. Then the same amazing woman that pulled him from SLA pulled him again from Carson. And from there he want into boarding at Londoloza. Where at that time plans A, B, and C had all fallen through.
She even paid to have mobile groomers go there and bathe him.
This is about the time people starting reaching out to me and I was put in touch with all the right people and was able to piece together Dukes story.
I was contacted because they said he was "dog reactive" and showing some "leash aggression"
I went to Londoloza and of course this was all just pent up frustration and I had him on a leash and with Luna my Bordeaux within seconds. And introduced to my pack (male and female) within minuted of arriving home.
Duke is not only a non-issue. He is housebroke, calm, sweet, crate trained, a non-barker. And is happy playing with other dogs male or female. Or just chilling on a dog bed.
Being a mostly white bully he had some skin issues. I gave him one medicated bath, and switched him over to grain free Salmon & Sweet Potato, and in two weeks he cleared up and put all his weight on. He has a perfect coat and not a single health or behavioral issue that I have seen.
In all my years of rescue i have never seen a thicker more muscular set of back thighs on a dog. He is a thick, solid brick of a dog. Perfect markings. Fully ready for his new forever home.
These dogs need stability. Not to be tossed around from home to home.
Duke is either an American Staffordshire Terrier, or an American Staffie w/American Bulldog.
His body, conformation, and demeanor are all perfect.
Please help me share him for his forever home. He can be placed with other dogs no problem. Kids as well. He is beyond gentle.
Thank you all
xoxo

Please read everything below, most of your questions may be answered in our description.
All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, dewormed, licensed, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Also included is a free health check by our licensed veterinarian. The dogs that come out of our program are very well socialized when they leave, both with people, and other dogs. It is up to the new owners to maintain this. All of our dogs, young and old are crate trained. This gives the new owner a head start for house breaking, and to curb any separation anxiety and or destructive behavior. Most of our dogs are in foster homes and we are able to tell you lots about each of their personalities. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An adoption fee, application, and contract are required. Please direct all questions to smashfacerescue911@yahoo. All our dogs can be seen 7 days a week by appointment ONLY. We are located in Van Nuys 91405. If you are interested in setting up a day and time please send us an e-mail.

Thank you in advance,
