Dove's Story...
Hello, my name is Dove and I hear that my scruffy face and short-ish legs are irresistible. I was found in Arkansas by a couple of folks coming back to Memphis after a dove hunt. So that's where we got our names, Burty (pronounced like Birdy, but named after a sweet man, Burton) and Dove. Burty and I were dangerously close to oncoming traffic and lucky for us, one of those in oncoming traffic, pulled his car over and scooped us up. We are eternally thankful to that good and kind man and his son.

My adoption fee is $500, this includes my shots, health travel certificate, and all travel costs from Memphis to your area. Please contact Allison for an adoption application - alicat_ant@yahoo.com.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon/Basset Griffon Vendeen for sale in Greenfield, or seeking a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon/Basset Griffon Vendeen puppy from a breeder in Greenfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greenfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greenfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Pointing Griffon/Basset Griffon Vendeen breeders who help with Wirehaired Pointing Griffon/Basset Griffon Vendeen rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greenfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
