I need a home…
My name is Helix and I’m just your good ole fashioned mutt. I’m about a year old, up to date on shots, neutered, and I have been to basic obedience class. I like going for walks with my backpack, but not for too long because I can overheat if it’s too hot and we are out in the sun for too long. I currently live in a house with another dog but it would be easier for me to be at my best if I was an only furbaby or with a companion who didn’t let me push them around. I’ve heard about “cats” but have never met one so don’t know if I would like them.
The kids in the house all go to school and are bigger and I like playing with them outside where we can be a little rough and not knock things over. I’m not so sure about little humans though and would prefer to be with bigger kids.
I have a comfy crate I sleep in at night and I will tell you if I need to go outside while you are sleeping. If I need to go outside for potty, I will go to the door and stand there waiting for you to see me. Please don’t let me stand there for long because when I have to go, I really have to go!
I spend a lot of time inside with an adult and she says that I’m a good boy. I like lounging around and just hanging out around her feet with a bone.
While I am good around my friends and family, I am a little afraid of strangers and need some time to warm up to people that I don’t know. I like affection and to be touched softly but I am okay with just being in the same room as you.
