Louis's Story...
Hello, my name is Louis and I'm what they call a pocket lab. I have super soft fur and a fuzzy undercoat, so I think I would be good for cooler climates too. I'm all that's great about a lab wrapped up in a smaller frame. I was rescued from a high kill rural shelter in Tennessee. I am a very loving guy, am great with other dogs and with children. I am playful but not rough, I would rather leave the rough play for the bigger dogs. I'm a beautiful boy and would be great for a family who loves labs, but maybe doesn't want a really big dog.

My adoption fee is $425 and will include my microchipping, neutering, and vaccinations. Please contact Allison to get my details and an adoption application: alicat_ant@yahoo.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louis, a Chicago Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
