Hi! My name is Romie, although my foster mama calls me a LOT of sweet names! My owner passed away, and I need a new forever family! I'm in Phoenix and the SWEETEST boy! I'm about 8 years old and all done with that crazy puppy nonsense. I have fluffy black hair with a LOT of brown mixed in and a cute white patch on my chest. I'm a pro at the doggie door, know how to sit, am VERY gentle with taking treats, and I wait patiently for my foster brother and sister (both labs) to get their food before I get mine. And you know what? THOSE dogs INHALE their food! Not me! I use my teeth and chew and take my time enjoying my food. Speaking of food, I'm what my foster mama calls a hunker chunker, chunky monkey, roly poly, and tubba wubba. I think that means there's a LOT for you to love! She's helping me to lose the 20 pounds the vet said I needed to lose. I pull on the leash and will need somone strong and patient to teach me how to walk nicely. There's a huge hole in the ground filled with water here at my foster house, and I couldn't care less about it, so my foster mama doesn't know if I'm a swimmer. I don't jump on people or furniture! I've been invited on the couch and bed, but I'd rather keep my four paws on the floor, thank you very much. I have this cute habit of wrapping my front paws around each other when I sleep! I'm very trustworthy and have been left alone at the house with my foster siblings for over four hours at a time, and I'm a perfect gentleman. I will greet you with some sweet squeaks and maybe a happy bark when you come home! I give very gentle kisses and LOVE a good belly rub! I'm great in the car, too. Maybe all these reasons are why my foster mama says I'm the BEST boy! I found the bones and chew hoof here at my foster house and will gnaw on one every now and then. I sure did enjoy the rawhide I got the other day, but I took my time to start chewing on it. I'm not food or toy aggressive, and sleep quietly on the soft doggie bed next to my foster mama's bed. I would LOVE a new family to call my own! My foster mama hasn't seen me around kiddos or kitties, so I can't tell you how I act around them.
