Smokey Girl is a stunning unique mixed breed puppy, 15 weeks old, weighing 26 lbs, that has the markings and definitive ridge of fur down her back that lends itself to the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed, and yet we know that Momma is mostly Catahoula. She has the most beautiful markings and coloring that is offset by her dark black masked face that makes you just stare at her in awe. With the characteristics of a Rhodesian Ridgeback combined with Catahoula heritage, this girl will have a strong character and personality that is only matched by her intelligence and personal charm. She is an active and loving puppy who romps with her sister for hours on end. She would do well in a home with children or other dogs, or any outdoorsy type of athletic family. Smokey is learning about housetraining and hasn’t mastered it yet. Honestly, she has not been taught those skills until just recently and her foster mom is patiently showing her the ropes. Smokey is very affectionate and loves people the most. Her gift of intelligence and good listening skills are going to make continued training a breeze for her new family of the future. True to her mix of breeds, she will be a bit shy with strangers but will definitely warm up quickly in a matter of minutes. Smart dogs don’t jump in with total abandoned and trust until the human earns it.
