Colt's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Colt's Story...
Colt is a handsome, 6-year old mixed breed looking for his forever home. He is neutered, up to date on shots, housebroken, walks nicely on a leash and weighs about 80 lbs. He is energetic and goofy at times and will always make you smile.

Colt is a fantastic runner and came in 3rd for the Hair of the Dog race last year at Silver Decoy Winery. He absolutely loves to run and is a frequent participant in 6+ mile trail runs. He is also a fantastic swimmer and loves to be in the water. Colt would thrive with a very active family (and ideally a runner!)

Unfortunately, Colt has not been getting along with the other dog in his household and would do best in a home as the only pet. He's a much loved and very sweet boy. He can be a very sensitive dog and is observant and aware of his surroundings when it comes to mood and tones. He loves to play flick-it with the kong balls, he knows general commands and works well with positive reinforcement. He rides well in a car.

If you would like to meet Colt, or for more information, please email his contact Dana at DP553@aol.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colt, a Hamilton Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
