Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am a 3-month-old male Border Collie/Labrador mix. I weigh about 22 pounds right now, but I have a whole lot of growing to do! My friends here think I'm going to be at least 80 pounds when I'm fully grown. If you are looking for a super-sized love bug, I am the dog for you! I'm a sweet, playful, loving, inquisitive pooch! I also happen to be pretty well-behaved for a baby. A lot of puppies are crazy. They run around all the time, destroying everything in sight, but I like to think of myself as more civilized than that. Don't get me wrong. I do love to play and I still chew on all kinds of stuff, but I respond well to corrections. Give me some toys and a bully stick and I'll be busy for hours. You want to know how I got here? I was picked up by animal control and brought to a local high-kill city animal shelter. The person who called animal control said that I had been hit by a car. When I got to the shelter, the staff took one look at me and knew I was injured. I was able to stand, but I had some swelling and I was very reluctant to walk. They took some X-rays and luckily they couldn't find any fractures. Thankfully, I just had some soft tissue damage. Phew! I was put on pain medication and sent to the medical ward to rest and recover. Over the next couple of days, my pain began to subside and I was finally able to walk. I didn't spend much time at the shelter before CageFree heard about me and agreed to welcome me into their rescue. By the time I got to CageFree, my pain was completely gone! You'd never know that I was ever hit by a car to begin with! Now I'm having tons of fun hanging out with all my friends, and I love to play with other pups, but I am still looking for my forever home. Are you the right family for me? I'm really young so I'm looking for a family who is active. If you enjoy hiking, playing ball in the yard, or visiting the dog park, I think I'd be the perfect fit. If you would like to schedule a time to come meet me, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree. I'll be waiting to hear from you!
