Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sadie arrived as a malnourished, starving bottle-baby orphan when she was just about 3 weeks old. It took her a long time to grow strong and put on some weight; her size will likely always be smaller than an average cat, due to lack of nutrients during those early weeks, but she thinks she is queen of the jungle!
She was born about 6/15/14, and only weighs about 4 pounds so far. She is a happy, friendly, well socialized girl who would do fine in homes with children, cats, or dogs. She really needs an indoor-only home due to her extra small size and lack of "street smarts." (She is the sort of cat that would run toward a coyote or a moving vehicle, because she is curious about them - sigh). In her video, she is playing with Dromedary and Peilin, who are both about 6 weeks younger than Sadie but pretty close in size - she is a tiny girl for her age.
We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome:
Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies."
All kittens arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee for Sadie is suggested minimum $50 (more gratefully accepted). Discount for pair adoptions! All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
