My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eddy is a 4 ½ year old Lab/Shepherd mix, he is about 50lbs and very handsome. He was neutered as a puppy and has no bad behaviors to mention. Eddy is a very lovable dog and bonds quickly with everyone. He thinks he is a person and likes to be in the middle of everything. He has had basic obedience schooling and can sit, stay, lay down, and will wait for his food if you tell him to stay and then give him the command “free”. It is really funny to watch him wait with his tail wagging furiously. Eddie is able to stay in a crate as he was originally crate trained as a puppy, however he likes to sleep at the end of the bed or when you’re not watching, on a pillow like a person. Eddie is very friendly with kids and other dogs, he has been around infants as well as older kids. He is also very watchful of everything that happens outside because he loves to chase squirrels or anything else that moves in the yard. Eddie loves to go for walks but his favorite place is the dog park. He gets along great with all other dogs and wears himself out pretty quickly. Eddie has never been around cats, so not sure if they are friend or foe. He likes to eat more than he should and is now in the best shape of his life after Grandma stopped giving him so many treats. He needs to be fed and not given too many treats or he will overeat! He eats twice a day and likes to be outside, but also loves the comfort of home and a good afternoon nap. He loves bones and likes to hide them in the house, sometimes under a pillow and sometimes in plain sight even though he thinks we can’t see them. He tends to be more active and a little more playful with boys and very gentle with girls, especially babies. Eddy is a wonderful dog and everyone who meets him, loves him. He is used to going to get a bath at the local pet store and has been boarded successfully too. He can be home alone during the day and will be happy to see you when you return. He loves to be pet and when you stop, will paw and wedge his way into snuggle with you until you can’t resist and then it’s on his back for a belly rub. He is not a big licker and not a big barker either. He’s a great dog and will make a great addition to a family or a single owner. To meet Eddy, please call Teri at 630-897-7454.
