My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Hi, friends! My name is MOCHA, and I'm a beautiful one-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/ pit bull terrier mix who wants to be your faithful friend and companion. I'm here at the shelter because my owner was no longer able to care for me, so I'm hoping and praying that a loving person or family will find me soon and take me home. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I generally have a mellow temperament and an average energy level, so I'd need a daily walk to be at my best. I'd probably bark if a stranger came onto my property, so I think I'd be a pretty good watch dog. I excel at the game of fetch, so I'd need a yard in my new home and some playtime each day. You'll be quite impressed when you see me drop that ball right next to you when we play fetch. I enjoy my time outdoors, but I long to be part of the family, so I'd need to have my own snuggly dog bed in the house. I'd do well in a family that has older kids, and I get along well with other dogs. My last owner had a few other dogs, and we all loved each other. The shelter staff is fairly certain that I've already been house trained, but I might need a refresher course when I get to my new home. I sure hope you'll come visit me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. They have a great play yard here where we can get better acquainted, and I sure hope you'll give me a nice scratch behind my ears. I really like that. Love, Mocha" Kennel #4
