Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Lucky 2. My story is a sad one and should never have happened to a nice doggie like me, but it did and now I have paid the price!
I am an incredibly sweet, very nice, blonde cocker boy, 3 to 5 years old. I was picked up as a stray by animal control with an ugly, open wound on my back that was badly in need of treatment. I also tested as a very strong heartworm positive and I needed a three dose treatment to get me well. The shelter contacted one of our CCR volunteers and he was able to convince them to get me to the vet while waiting the 5 days of hold for the owner to show, but no one did. This way, I was not exposed to disease and other germs from the other dogs and chemicals the staff uses to clean. For my first surgery that was done while at the vet near the shelter while on hold and waiting for my owner, a few nice volunteers helped to pay my vet bill........in addition to the cost that the CCR volunteer paid on my behalf. I am so thankful to him and what he did to help me feel better. Then I came to rescue and my second surgery was paid for by adoption money from a couple of rescue dogs that recently found homes.
If you are interested in adopting this sweet cocker boy, please email: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300, which includes all of the medical care for this dog while in our care.
