Pizza, a neutered male dog, 6 months old, 22lbs

Pizza is a super great dog! He is very innocent, loving, sweet, and a happy go lucky dog. He is doing extremely well since the first day at his foster home. All the videos of Pizza are taken on the first day so you can see how he will adjust in a new home. Pizza is friendly with everyone he meets – greet people with wagging tails yet very well-mannered. Pizza is really good with children and will do well in a family with young children. He is now living in a home with a 7 years old boy who loves him dearly and hope he can find a loving home soon. Pizza is also great with dogs. In his video with dogs, it was the first day when his foster mom introduced him to all her rescued dogs and he did great having fun with everyone.

Pizza was found by a lady as a stray puppy starving in a park. She is a dog lover and so took Pizza home. However, she has 4 rescued dogs already and is not financially stable to keep him. She tried very hard to post his story on Facebook hoping to find him a home.
Months went by and just when she was about to surrender Pizza to the pound, Pizza’s now foster mom offered to help as she didn’t want Pizza to be put down as he just started his life. Pizza’s foster mom is a very experienced dog rescuer, the moment she met Pizza she knew he is going to make a family very happy as he is a super great dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pizza, a Castro Valley Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
