Athena's Story...
Need a lap dog? I would love to be the one! I am so super sweet that my favorite thing is to snuggle next to a person (I do great with older children). Then watch out, because I will give you a kiss too. Of course, being a youngster, I also like toys and playtime and my favorite friend in my foster home is the BIG dog who lives there. I would love to have a family that will give me plenty of love and also appreciate my smile. My edob is 1/14. I currently weigh 20 lbs and might just gain a few more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Houston Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
