Sue Ann's Story...
AVAILABLE 09-05-14 Little Sue Ann found herself caught in a cat trap when she went in to get some food. An Animal Control Officer picked up her and the trap and delivered her to the Shelter on 08-30-14. We thought maybe someone would come looking for her, but no one came or called, so she is now available for adoption. Sue Ann is a pretty Tabby with soft longer fur - she might have a bit of Maine Coon in her. She has been housed with other cats since her arrival and settled in. She's been vaccinated and spayed, so all she needs now is a loving family to call her own. Please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and make this pretty Lady part of your loving family. By the way - Sue Ann wearing a tutu in support of the SPCA Stray Cat Dance Team who are competing in a local United Way competition to raise money for the Shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sue Ann, a Elizabeth City Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
