My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cooper is a 10 month old 6 pound male Yorkie. His right front leg was broken some time ago, but his former owners could not afford vet care for it, so poor little Cooper had to hobble while holding it up. Eventually it healed, but his owners decided to sell him on Craig's list. Another family got Cooper, but after taking him to their vet, they realized they could not afford the expense of trying to repair Coopers's leg, so they bought a new puppy and gave Cooper up.

So, that is the short versio of the life of Cooper, as we know it. Since that time, he has had surgery at Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic to repair his old fracture. Cooper is now healed up, but needs physical therapy and some swimming therapy to encourage him to start using his leg again. He gets around just fine on 3 legs, but the idea is to get that fourth leg back into action. Cooper's foster mom is doing her best to move the leg and let Cooper try to swim in the bathtub every day.

Cooper is ready for adoption, but will need to continue his therapies in his new home. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated with medicines to protect him from fleas and heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00
