Jeepers's Story...
"I have been at the shelter since September…..been sitting in my kennel trying to figure out why. No one else seems to know either."

Jeeper is a very friendly little pooch. Just ask his friends in our small dog play group (both dogs and humans). Jeeper is a player and likes to chase squeaky toys. He has the most adorable way of expressing himself; not barking but almost as if he is trying to have a conversation with you.

Jeeper can be counted on not to embarrass you in public with displays of barking and lunging at other dogs.

Jeeper loves to be held and cuddled, but he is not a clingy dog; he enjoys belly rubs and meeting new people.

Jeepers, what are you waiting for…come meet this little guy.

Act quickly to adopt Jeepers. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jeepers, a Berkeley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
