Hi there. My name is Kota. I am guessed to be about 10 years old and I weigh about 30 lbs.
I was found as a stray on someone's porch in the Leetonia area after apparently being dumped out on a back country road.
I am the sweetest old man you could ever hope to meet! My tail is always wagging and I am always happy. I LOVE all of the people I meet and I am a total lover. I like sitting by people and getting my butt scratched.
I get along great with other dogs. The pound is really full right now and they don't have enough spaces to put everyone when they go outside for them to clean the pound, so I go out in the front area with some puppies and some other smaller dogs and I do great with them.
I am good inside the office. I love lounging in the chair and on the blankets and bed.
I am hoping a family will look past my age and the grey on my face and look deeper and see that I have a heart of gold and that I deserve a chance at happiness and a loving home like all of the other dogs.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER SEPTEMBER 22, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
