Ben's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Ben's Story...
Ben's adoption fee is $375.

Our fun loving Ben is about 2 years old. We believe he is a Lhasa Apso/Coton du Tulear mix. He is neutered, micro chipped and up to date with vaccines. Ben came to us underweight and with Cherry eye in both eyes (this is a condition where the tear gland in the third eyelid slips out of place). Ben has had this surgically repaired and has recovered well. He has gained 3 lbs (he now weighs about 19 pounds) and is in great shape with awesome muscle tone and energy. He’s such a happy boy, and would do well with an active family or someone who walks or runs regularly. He is also a cuddly guy who soaks up affection whenever he can, and he loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home. Ben is crate trained when needed.

Ben needed to be shaved done to the skin when he came to us as he was matted so badly. He will have a beautiful full coat of white fluff when it has grown in. He will need regular brushing and a grooming every few months. The groomer said he was perfect to groom. We believe he is a low shedding dog.

He is now mostly house trained (we recommend a home with easy access to a yard for frequent outings and the ability to let him out during the day) and we are working on his manners. He still wants to jump up in his greeting style, but is learning to respect the human and would benefit with some training or puppy classes. We recommend only children over 10, as he still gets so excited and happy with them. An experienced owner would help this guy along to become the perfect dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben, a Toronto Lhasa Apso/Coton de Tulear dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Coton de Tulear for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Coton de Tulear dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Coton de Tulear breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Coton de Tulear rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
