Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sasha is a one year old sweetheart that is a Boxer/Hound mix. She was recently adopted and returned because she was too active for her owner. She has interacted with other dogs, but picks and chooses who she gets along with. It is not known if she likes cats or not. It would be best if Sasha were adopted into a family with older kids because of her strength and activity level. Her current training should help with this. During quiet time she loves to cuddle. Sasha enjoys playing with stuffed animals and her peanut butter kong toy. This gal is only a year old and would benefit from some training. A fenced yard would be best with a family or individual that would include her in their activities. She represented Friendship at the Woolly Bear parade and did a great job!
On October 16, 2014, Sasha was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.
If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.
Please contact Friendship at 440-322-4321 if you decide not to adopt this prison dog so they can take your name off the list.
