My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Hola! My name is CHICO, and I'm one of the friendliest and cutest little dogs that you'll ever be fortunate enough to meet. I love everybody, so I'd be an excellent family pet. I'm a five-year-old Chihuahua, and I'm very small, so if I'm going to be around kids, I'd want them to be older and very considerate of my small size. I love people, and I like other dogs, too. I sound like a baby when I want to be held, and I love to be cradled like a baby. With me, you get the comfort and enjoyment of holding a baby, but you don't have to deal with diapers! You've got to come spend some time with me. I'm here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, and they've got a great play yard where we can spend some time getting better acquainted. I can practically guarantee that my happy-go-lucky nature and zest for life will put a smile on your face and warmth in your heart. I think you'll find that I'm a very special dog, and that I will be a truly wonderful friend and companion. One thing I should mention is that the shelter staff isn't sure if I've been house trained yet, so I might need to work on that when I get home. Please come visit me soon. Won't you, please?
