Gage's Story...
This sweet older boy is Gage, and he's a Lab mix looking for a loving home and family so he can enjoy his retirement years. His life hasn't been that great up to now, and he is still a little timid although not nearly as bad as when he came to us. He has a healed scar on his neck where a collar has cut into it in the past, but it doesn't bother him now and he didn't mind the leash at all. He's neutered and can go home right away. Give a senior dog a chance--come and adopt Gage :)

Act quickly to adopt Gage. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gage, a Jacksonville Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
