Abe's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Abe's Story...
Meet Abe! He came to us as a stray, and no owners have come looking for him. He is a german shepherd, and we're guessing he's around 9 years old. He's looking for a quiet retirement home to spend the remainder of his golden years in. He's a friendly boy, and just needs some love and a warm place to rest. Are you looking for an older, laid back addition to your family? Think Abe might be a good fit?

Like all of our other animals Abe is up to date on shots, neutered, and has a microchip. Now all he's waiting for is YOU! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abe, a Youngwood German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
