Here's what the humans have to say about me:
One of Oriel's little girls: Here is their story:
After spending the last 8 weeks in a northern California shelter being an awesome mother to many pups....Oriel was rescued within hours of being euthanized with three of her remaining pups because of the overcrowding in the shelter. We could not let this young beautiful mother, pregnant when she was dumped at the shelter AND who just saw sunlight and grass for the first time in 8-9 weeks after taking such good care of her babies be rewarded by being put to sleep.
So many mothers are so stressed in the shelter that their babies die because they cannot provide enough nurishment for them. Oriel was strong enough in character to survive with a great dispostion and to be a great mother in a cement trap at the same time. She is safe now with her remaining 3 pups that were to be euthanized also. She will have a chance at a wonderful life...she has a great personality with lots of great kisses and hugs of affection.
In the evenings I watch her play with her remaining pups with awe....so gentle and sharing with all she has...the pups come first with her.
She was friendly to the shelter staff and public and loves to have her tummy rubbed. We are looking for a foster home or a permanent home for this wonderful girl who is just a young pup herself! Imagine what it has been like making sure your babies are socialized and fed in a noisy shelter environment....she deserves an award!
Adotption Donation is $250.00...vacciantions to date; microchip; worming; heartworm and Frontline and spay at 6 months.
