Pepper's Story...
Come meet Miss Pepper! This black pup has some white markings on her tummy and toes. She's about 7 months old and has only lived in the shelter. Pepper has gotten a second chance at life and has been enjoying her new life in her foster home. Although she has little experience, she is loving her training sessions with her foster mom, and is over the moon happy when she learns a new command. Pepper gets along great with other dogs, adults, and kids, is spade, and is up to date on vaccinations. She is very excited to tell you good morning, give you a lick, and spend the day with you! So come see Pepper and give her a loving home. Please contact my foster home at: 225-571-6575

All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a Baton Rouge Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
