Hi there. My name is Kippy. I am about 5 years old and I weigh about 10 lbs.
I was brought in to the pound by someone who claimed to have found me running down the street in Columbiana but the pound doesn't believe she was being truthful because I am very shy at first and I run away from people.
The pound thinks that I was a mill dog at one point in time. I have obviously had some socialization and contact with people. I came in the the pound already groomed but had cedar chips in the hair on my tail. I was smelly but not matted. I am in desperate need of a dental. My teeth are not worn down much at all but they're pretty gross if I do say so myself. Also, just by looking at my picture, you may just think I have a blue eye, but I'm actually completely blind in that eye. It looks to have been that way for a very long time, maybe even since I was born.
Once I get to know you a little bit, I am a very sweet boy! I love being held and loved on and getting affection. I am very am very happy to see people but I get scared and try to avoid being picked up. I don't fear bite. I am a VERY nice boy
I get along well with other dogs.
I will need A LOT of time and patience as I adjust to being a member of the family. I am NOT housebroken, so that will need work as well.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
