My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Bobby, and I'm a handsome Beagle who is about 1.5 years old, weighing a nice 28lbs. I am looking for a special human who will be a confident leader for me to trust in. I am learning a lot in my foster home, and want to keep learning and training, so keep the treats coming!

My foster Mom says that I'm the fastest learner that she's ever met. I am very smart, so training commands is a breeze. Watch my videos for proof (link below)! I know sit, stay, wait, come here, give paw, lay down, leave it, drop it (if you show me a treat), and am working on "go to the blanket" or "bed". I am, however, slower to trust, so this training isn't as speedy. I do display what my foster home thinks are fear based behaviors, so please be patient with me, I'm really trying! We are working on counter conditioning and desensitizing the scariest areas for me, which include my sleeping spaces. Ask my foster home if you aren't familiar with these methods, and she'd be happy to tell you all about them! My fear based behaviors are very manageable in an adult home, but would be difficult in a home with young kids.

I am great with dogs, my foster sister is my BFF! Dogs my size or smaller are best, I tend to be a bit bossy with bigger dogs, but do always warm up. I LOVE to go outside on walks or to the park, and use my beagle nose to sniff things or run around with my dog friends. I'm a low to medium energy level, and I love my nap time. I am great in the car too. Did I mention I was house trained and up to date on vaccines?

Will you give me a chance? Check out my videos here on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxc6sMqfJJdmVCDCi7M6pyw

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
