Mitzi's Story...
Meet Mitzi! This little petite girl is here to steal your heart! Mitzi is around 2 years old and joined us from KY after being saved from a hoarding case. When Mitzi came to us she was a very sick girl. She could not go potty on her own. After lots of love and patience from our wonderful vets, this girl can now go potty on her own, although sometimes not when she chooses. Because of this her foster family has her wearing diapers, but not all the time. She loves to have her "diappy free" time running around her yard with her foster siblings, or especially loves cuddling on her foster Daddy's lap! You can check out all of her adventures on her very own Facebook page here:

Mitzy's adoption fee is $150 and covers the cost of the dogs spay, vaccines, preventative medications, microchip and 30 day free trial pet insurance. We are a 501c3 non profit organization and your adoption fee is a tax deductible contribution.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mitzi, a Delaware Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Delaware, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Delaware.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delaware already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delaware breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delaware paves the way for another one to be saved.
