Please meet Maude! This senior lady is truly a special little gal… although she is actually medium size. Maude is around 11 years old and looking for a peaceful, caring home to enjoy her days and sleep peacefully through the night. Your reward? She will stare at you lovingly the entire time. She is so appreciative of a calm, happy environment after what she has been through. Maude is very little maintenance. She is house-trained, has yet to bark and quite obedient. She is not aggressive with other dogs but gets pretty scared if they are rowdy. Because of her history, it would be best for her to go to a home without active children or a lot of loud noises. If she does encounter kids though, she is extremely gentle. She likes to go for walks and is very content to stay in and lounge too. She is perfect for a senior as you will not find a sweeter, more gentle companion.
Our adoption fees are on a sliding scale; choose the amount that's right for you. Fees for senior dogs (7 years and older) are $90 to $125; fees for dogs 1-6 years are $125-$175; fees for dogs under 1 year of age are $150-$200.
If you are 65 years or older, the adoption fee is waived when you adopt a senior dog. All Dogs Forever dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies and distemper/parvo, tested for heartworm and Lyme disease, and microchipped.
This dog lives in a foster home.
We are located at 809 Rockford Road SW in Cedar Rapids, across from the outfield at Veterans Memorial Stadium. We are open every Saturday 10-2 and by appointment. Contact dogsforever@netins.net.
