Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SIMON is a 8 year old black neutered male Lab who weighs 50 pounds. He comes from a rural area so may not do well in a city environment or an apartment/condo/townhouse or busy neighborhood. Simon thinks giving you a Lablean is the best way to get his back and butt scratched. He is shy and submissive when you first meet him but as soon as he realizes that you aren't going to yell at him he stays for petting and lovin. Simon was probably a dog that was in a pen for a lot of his life, when he is let out in the yard he walks around in a circle the size of many outside pens but is getting the idea that he can run where he wants. He isn't big on retrieving. Simon is good with other dogs, played with several at shelter and kennel. Well-mannered ~ he knows sit, down and come and he's both crate and house trained. Approved for kids aged 10+.
Update (10/11): Simon spent a good night at his foster's home. He's a bit shy and discovering things. He was fantastic with the resident cats. He will need a patient family to show him how nice it is to live indoors.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has between 50 ~ 80 dogs available for adoption.
