Biscuit's Story...
No cameras please! Maybe she's in the witness protection program or possibly she has an exclusive with some puperazzi magazine, but Biscuit hates having her photo taken. She's nixed the Nikon, gotten coy with the Canon, flew from the Fuji - well, you get the picture. But we didn't, no matter how hard we tried. She will not let us get a good shot so the photos you see here do not do her justice.

Biscuit has settled into her foster home very well. It took her a little while to get over her shyness (except with cameras - see above), but she's now a happy and funny girl. She loves playing with other dogs, chasing squirrels and "killing" stuffed toys. She now welcomes affection with a lovely tail wag and soft brown eyes. Biscuit is house and crate trained, walks decently on a leash, and sits for her meals. She has a cute sense of humor, and will come up to her foster, bump her slightly and stand there, tail wagging, eyes full of mischief. She enjoys being with her pack, be they human, canine or both. She isn't pushy and she is not dominant, just a sweet girl who is looking for someone to love her and give her the home she so much deserves.

Biscuit would be happy in a home with a loving and patient human, another dog is good but not necessary. She likes toys, especially the stuffed ones that she can destroy. She also enjoys walks, head and ear scratches and being talked to. BB has a fine, strong voice and will bark a strong warning when she deems it necessary. Her beautiful black and tan coat is easily maintained and her expressive dark brown eyes will melt your heart. She's waiting for her person to find her so that she can live the life that every good dog wants - a warm bed, decent meals and, most importantly, a best friend to love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Biscuit, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
