Steely Dan (Danny), 8 month old male Weimaraner with Doberman markings. The markings are in his eyebrows and legs, a beautiful rust color that makes him even more adorable. The markings resemble a Doberman, but he is a purebred Weimaraner. We are surprised that Danny was found as a stray and never reclaimed. He is friendly and entertaining - full of energy! While in temporary boarding, he shared a pen with two dogs and enjoyed their company; the dogs were all fed together like family. Danny is not only at ease with other dogs, but everyone he meets as well - he is super sweet! He initially ignored the kitty in his foster home. but now he plays and naps with it. And, just as any puppy, Danny loves to play with toys and is a goofy and charming boy! His foster mom is working on leash training and obedience skills. She reports that he is a very quick learner and responds to treats as a reward, so he is ready for obedience training with his people! Danny will thrive in a home where his development into a good canine citizen is a priority in that he will get a lot of exercise, practice obedience with his people, and get lots of love and affection. This type of life needs to be consistent for him to continue to grow into an ideal companion. Danny will be neutered prior to placement and has been dewormed.
