Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maximus is a male Rottweiler mix (we do not know what with) who is approximately 7 months old. It appears he will be a large dog when he is full grown. Max is a very good boy who behaves well in the house (as long as shoes are picked up off the floor) and is very close to being housebroken. There are five other dogs in the foster home and Max loves to play with everyone, but at times he has a hard time finding his off switch and needs to be put in his place before settling down. He is very responsive to correction from both people and dogs. Max prefers to dine alone - he thoroughly enjoys eating but is happiest with it being a solitary activity. Max is also in a foster home with children (the youngest is 9), whom he adores but again needs direction on proper play because he can get rough and mouthy. Max is crate trained, and sleeps through the night in his crate. Like most Rotts, Max can be head strong but he is extremely intelligent. It is highly recommended that his adoptive family plan to enroll him in obedience training. His perfect home would have a nice, fenced yard to keep him safe as well as a family that has plenty of time to dedicate to his continued training and to involve him in their day-to-day activities. Please do not call and inquire about adoption if you are in an apartment/condo/townhome. Max is a happy, silly, goofy, bouncy, playful (LARGE) puppy who will make an excellent family pet for just the right home. If you'd like to learn more about Maximus and possibly meet him, please call his foster mom, Jodi, at (630) 978-7323. He has been neutered and is UTD on his vacinnations. His adoption fee is $200.00.
