Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Lady. I came from a very sad situation last year, but life is so much better for me these days! I am about 5 years old, up to date on all of my shots and am working on my basic manners and skills these days. You see, I came from a place where I wasn't given much of anything for years. I had never been in an actual home until recently (and hey, I really like it!), and I didn't know the kindness of humans until my rescue last August 2013. I had to wait for many months while court proceedings wrapped up around my abuser's case. But I'm finally settling into the life of a normal dog – meeting new people, going for nice walks in the woods, exploring a grassy yard and snoozing on the bed in the house while my foster-humans do their human thing. It's not so bad being a loved dog!
I will probably always be a bit shy, but once I get to know you all I want to do is sit in your lap! I'm quiet and reserved, and even a bit regal, I've been told. But! I also snort like a little piglet when I sniff the grass – which is maybe more adorable than regal. My humans tell me I'm going to make an incredible companion for someone very special. Maybe that's you?
