Serenity's Story...
Darla is a very alert and active young adult brown tabby. She rules the household from dogs to cats and loves her people. She loves catnip, to be petted, and chasing her tail but is independent and does not like to be held. We think of her more like one of the dogs as she follows us around just like them. She uses a cardboard scratcher very well and also loves to scratch on flip flops so she has her own pair and we make sure to leave ours put up. She has lived with cats in her foster home but needs other cats who like to play rough or to just be the queen of the house. If you are looking for a lively girl who isn't needy; a companion who will not climb on you but still enjoys your company she is a great choice. She was saved from animal control while pregnant with her own babies who are now ready for adoption and after having been an excellent and watchful mother she would like a home of her own. She is spayed and tested and has had her rabies and distemper vaccines. Her adoption fee is $50 upon approval of an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serenity, a Hinesville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hinesville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Hinesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hinesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hinesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hinesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
