Hi there. My name is Pup-kin. I am about 7 years old and I weigh about 65 lbs.
I was surrendered to the pound along with my friends Susie, Mitzi and Tippy after our owner was arrested.
We were left alone for several days before anyone realized we were there alone. Finally, neighbor (which is some relation to our owner) had his daughter get us and bring us in to the pound. She described our owner as not being mentally stable.
The pound did call the police department to verify that our owner was indeed arrested. They verified that he was arrested and there was nobody to care for us.
The conditions inside our home were absolutely deplorable. It appeared that we had been living in squalor long before our owner was ever arrested.
Aside from our terrible living conditions, we also had our basic needs neglected. We were obviously well fed, but aside from that, our overall condition is poor. My skin/ hair coat is in poor condition. I have dry flaky skin and a dull, oily coat. My toenails are pretty overgrown as well, though not as bad as my friends Mitzi and Susie.
With all the bad stuff aside, you couldn’t ask for a sweeter dog than me! I love people and wag my little button stub tail and butt a mile a minute when I get excited. I love attention and I can’t wait to find a new home where I can love everyone all the time!
I also get along well with other dogs, even the smaller dogs.
By looking at the place we lived in, you might never guess it, but I actually seem to house broken… I haven’t had any accidents at all so far here at the pound. I didn’t even have any accidents over the weekend when we are in our kennels for quite a while without many potty breaks.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
