Zander's Story...
OMG! What a great boy! Zander is simply awesome and is probably a lab/pointer mix. He is about 1 year old, tall and slender, is white with reddish spots. He is gorgeous and really has a great personality. He is good with other dogs, sweet with humans, can be cat tested and would probably be just fine in most households. He is playful, walks well on lead, crate trained, seems house trained, and takes treats nicely. He will need appropriate exercise as he is a medium energy boy and would love to go swimming, hiking, running, ball chasing and he loves to wrestle with his foster sibling, Leo. He will make a perfect family member with a bit of obedience training and some good old family time and love. Zander is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He is kept on frontline and heartgard and is micro-chipped. Let us know if Zander is the one for you by completing an online application and requesting him on the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zander, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
