Dixie's Story...
I am Dixie, the lab mix who needs a second chance. I love to jump and the staff here thinks I would make a great Frisbee dog! I would love to go for long walks or hikes too! I am a special girl, in that I need a home filled with patience and understanding. I will thrive with a gentle, consistent teacher. I respond quite well to a calm voice and lots of understanding. I can be a bit shy at first, so I hop you give me the chance to come out of my shell on my own time. I will try my hardest to make you happy and to fit into my new home. If there are children in my new home, it would be best, for me, if they are more mature and calm. I do hope there is a family out there to give me a chance, could it possibly be you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Divide Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Divide, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Divide.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Divide already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Divide breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Divide paves the way for another one to be saved.
