Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky is a nine year old Shih Tzu mix who looks like he's mainly Shih Tzu. He has a beautiful coat of crème, butterscotch, and grey hair. Rocky is a very sweet, loving boy who just wants some attention from his family. Unfortunately his original family did not have time for him once they had children and he was consequently lonely and emotionally neglected. He loves to go for walks and hang out in the back yard. Before coming in to rescue, he had not ridden in a car very much, so he’s a little anxious in the car. But he’s learning that it’s fun to go places and he’s getting more relaxed in the car. He is reliably house trained and has wonderful manners. He sleeps quietly in bed with his foster mom. Rocky really loves the company of his people, and the ideal home for him is one where he will be the center of attention and get to spend most of his time with his family all day long. He gets along well with his two foster siblings who are also Shih Tzu's. Because he was displaced by children in his previous home, we would prefer that he go to an adult only home where they will have plenty of time for him.
Rocky is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and just had a dental. His adoption fee is $120.00 plus $8.73 sales tax for a total of $128.73. His foster mom would like his adoptive home to be within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and would also encourage them to attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in June each year.
