Sheenah Coco's Story...
AVAILABLE 09-23-14 Almost four years ago when she was just 7 months old, Sheenah was adopted from the Shelter and her name was changed to Coco. She loved her family - enjoyed playing with her toys, sitting on laps and being the feline family member. However, her family recently brought a new puppy into the home and Coco really didn't get along with the pup; so they returned her to the Shelter. Coco is a real love bug - enjoys being petted and loved. She lived with another cat and she has also shared a cage with a cat here at the Shelter and they get along fine. Coco is now just over four years old, she's been spayed and her shots are up to date. Coco is such a sweet cat, please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and meet her, ask to take her out and hold her - you're bound to fall in love and hopefully, decide to make Coco your next FOREVER cat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheenah Coco, a Elizabeth City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
