Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My dad has been working on a restaurant project here in San Antonio (southside) for quite awhile and this little dog showed up. The people at the restaurant started feeding her scraps and my dad has been teaching them to leave water and food out for her. He and the owner of the restaurant named her Nola. My dad built her a dog house with metal support brackets, legs to keep it off the ground, and painted it to keep the wood from rotting. He also bought her a dog bed to cozy up in. She was really skittish, but my dad earned her trust and can pet her now.
This week, my dad and the owner were able to get her in a crate and take her to the vet. He said once he got her wrapped up in a towel and held her that she just melted into him and was very loving. They got all her shots and flea and heartworm meds (she's heartworm negative). The vet estimates that she is 2-3 years old and is a doxie/terrier mix. She's really tiny at around 7-8 lbs. After the vet visit my dad bathed her and he flea bombed her little dog house and bed. They also bought her a collar to put her rabies tag on. The sad thing is that after all that, they had to drop her back off at the restaurant because nobody can take her home.
