My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi world! I'm Princess Cleo, a 4year old, 8lb Chihuahua/Min Pin mix. I am a little girl with a big personality that you are just going to love!

I'll start by telling you about my favorite things, which are not as fancy as you'd think, with me being a princess and all. 1) Cuddles! I don't care if I'm on your lap or in your arms, I love being close to you. When I'm really tired, I'll curl up under a blanket. People think it's so cute! 2) Treats! I will do my Chihuahua dance for food, and am getting pretty good at sit too. 3) Scratching my back under my foster Mom's coffee table. She thinks it's cute, and I like to make her laugh, so I do it a lot!

I'm a typical Chihuahua, a tiny dog in a big world. I bark at new things, such as people and loud noises, but it's all I know right now. Give me a minute (and a treat! remember my list?) and I will thank you for this with kisses and cuddles. My foster Mom will show you the way to my heart. She also has this funny idea that I need rules to be a better dog, but I guess she's right. I liked to boss the resident dog around when I first got here, but after a few hours of losing couch privileges, I decided that we could be good friends instead. I had similar tendencies with the cat in my last home, so I just need my people to show me that they're the boss, not me.

I can occupy myself just fine when my foster Mom is at work, and will nap the day away. I am great in my crate, especially if there are blankets in there that I can hide under! I also like going outside to prance around, and to do my business. I'm a princess of course, and princesses don't pee in the house! I am a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on my shots, and microchipped. I have successfully lived with kids, although because of my tiny size, older kids would be the best fit for me. I would love to warm your lap and shower you with the affection that us Chihuahua's are full of.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
