Mango's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mango's Story...
I’m Mango, just like the fruit that grows on the precious mango tree. Do you have a tender heart and a green thumb? Can you cultivate my love and harvest the fruit of my heart? No one has ever really been able to give me the time and commitment needed to grow to my full potential, so I would really love to find a family with patience and understanding. A family that knows you reap what you sow. A family that sows the fields of the heart with consistency and involvement. I treat all those around me with care: kids of all ages, dogs of all kinds, and cats of all colors. I am housetrained, and my crate training is coming along great! This sweet Mango is ready to be picked, so come pick me up and take me home! 2 years old-35lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes: spay, microchip, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mango, a Portland Whippet/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Whippet/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Border Collie breeders who help with Whippet/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
