Forrest (8 months)'s Story...
Located in Groveland, FL with Misfit. Meet, Forrest! This handsome boy was one of the pups we pulled directly out of the euth holding area on Friday at Sumter County in his last minutes. He is only 8 months old and is a German Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. He stands quite tall for a young guy and has a goofy and playful demeanor. He has a brother Faust that is also with our rescue. Both are very active dogs but Forrest is slightly more active than his brother. He is a super sweet guy but he will be happiest with an active family and lots of space to run. If you are looking for an exercise partner and a loyal companion, this is your guy! He may jump 4 foot fences so a privacy fence or leashing whenever outdoors would probably be best for him. He has done well with other dogs. If you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting Forrest, please give us a call. 407-947-2644 or 407-947-9876 He will come neutered, vaccinated (including rabies), de-flead, de-wormed, and heart worm tested for the adoption donation of $50.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Forrest (8 months), a Groveland Catahoula Leopard Dog/Dutch Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Dutch Shepherd for sale in Groveland, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Dutch Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Groveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog/Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog/Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
