Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there. My name is Mason. I am about 2 years old and I weigh about 35 lbs.
I was brought in to the pound by two ladies who found me in Lisbon after apparently being fit by a car.
I hobbled across the road right in front of their car. They didn't want me to get hit again so they pulled over and picked me up.
The pound called the vet and got me right in. Everyone was nearly certain that I had a broken leg due to all of the swelling and the fact that I couldn't use it... Turns out the it wasn't broken, just swelled! Great news for me! The x-rays showed that I do have some hip dysplasia so obviously being hit by a car didn't help that any! Also, being overweight doesn't help either. The vet didn't feel that my hip dysplasia will require surgery. They think that a good glucosamine supplement and pain medicine when necessary will keep me comfortable if it even bothers me at all. Right now, I'm likely only limping due to being hit by a car.
I am the sweetest little boy you could ask for. I am quiet and I have a low energy level so I would do well with apartment life or a busy family.
I get along well with other dogs. I spend my days in the office with a few other dogs and I have been great with all of them.
I love people. I wag my tail and get happy when someone is talking to me. I even do great with meeting strangers and don't even bark when strangers come in to the office.
I seem to be housebroken. I don't have any accidents when I am in the office or at night when I am in my crate.
I love having a big comfy blanket to curl up on. I get a corner of the blanket and pacify myself with it while I sleep. I don't really suck or chew on it, I just like for it to be in my mouth.
If you're looking for a really sweet and loving dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me.
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER OCTOBER 9, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
